discgolftv.com was founded by Alan Hansen Begg and Timmy Gill in February of 2006. Our mission is to share the exciting, unique, dynamic sport of disc golf with the international internet audience.
Alan Hansen Begg is a screen printer who was introduced to the game and became an avid disc golfer in 2003. Hansen Begg saw an opportunity to build a new business when he noticed that disc golfers were passionate about their sport. Long Tee Disc Golf Apparel was founded, based in Watertown, MN. A 900 rated am player, Hansen Begg realized quickly that his odds of playing on the top card at Pro Worlds were remote, and decided to gain some disc golf notoriety by setting a world record. The record he chose to break was the most unique holes played in a day, set the year before at 306. Hansen Begg played 31 different courses in one day, setting a new world record at 380.
Timmy "TG" Gill is a dedicated leader in the promotion of disc golf. Tim won the first event he entered as a PDGA member (Am Worlds 1995), and is now a 1017 rated professional. Gill, who is sponsored by Discraft, is founder and owner of Par 72 Disc Golf, a mobile disc golf store. Even though he was TD of 10 PDGA events in 2005, Gill was able to finish an amazing first or second in 18 out of 29 events he played in last year. Course design and management, product testing, and teaching and developing upcoming players are just some of the many ways that Gill is able to repay the sport that has been so good to him for so long.
Michelle Gummow is an avid disc golfer who loves playing the game as much
as talking about it. She has been player and a fan for about five years, and especially enjoys
golfing recreationally with family and friends.
"I feel so fortunate being able to be a part of this world full of great
people who are amazing players."
James "JDL" Ludlow joined DGTV in June 2006. He's been building Java applications in the corporate world for the last seven years, and before that was an engineer for IBM. He played Ultimate for eight years before switching to disc golf four years ago. James is a regular at Twin Cities' tournaments, playing as a 920-rated amateur.
Adam "Loffer" Loffhagen (PDGA #14197) joined the DGTV crew as their Director of Sales and Marketing in 2006. Loffer first started playing leagues and tournaments while attending the University of Iowa in the mid 90's. Today he and his wife live in Prior Lake, MN. Recently he and Timmy Gill, old high school friends, installed a championship caliber 18-hole wooded course at Prior Lake High School. Adam looks forward to being a strong disc golf advocate in his community.
